missing the good 'ol days
date: 21 april 2006 (friday)
last minute meetup with kairen.was suppose to meet him for a while and lunch @ bedok.but to save $$ i decided to cook my speciality--dry noodles.while tossing the noodles, i recalled abt how i used to eat dry noodles at my granny;s old flat;s nearby market.and then.an idea struck.why not i travel back to my childhood days?magnificent.and the next thing i knew, i was at the main door of my old amk flat.yes.and everything changed.so much in these 10yrs.(call me mountain tortoise and i dont care cozz i havent been back at my old flat eversince i shifted out) but the mamah shop under my block is still around + the same old uncle.oh man.and the coffeeshop i used to go across my block for meals is no longer there!the whole block above the coffeeshop is totally vacant(demolishing the whole block+ other blocks behind it)*sighs.there goes my yummy duck noodles.then after which we walked to my granny;s old flat.surprisingly i still remember the way there.went up to her flat and OMG.everything;s the same.the door is the same.the step-up to the flat is still in that maroon mosaic tiled design.i so miss everything.and guess what..the marketplace i used to go for my dry noodles, changed!no more old shabby looking kopi shop with tons of saliva-spitting ah peks!all like new and good.WAH.BIG TRASFORMATION AH.
after looking and being amazed by the numerous changes, i was super exhausted and sweaty.today was a superly sunny and humid day.and kairen suggested we go to bishan park to look for his "wonder-playground" and yah.we walked around til we found it.unfortunately, the swings were taken.kairen wanted to push the kid off the swing.he was pissed with their "i not sitting on it but i still want to reserve it" attitude.ahaha..
then later, we headed to j8 cozz he wanted to go muji and i bought a lil book for me to list all my hundred and hundred pages of words :) then to heartland modern-shophouse-like place for dinner and then later for selegie soyabean.a really tiring day.sat will well be reserved for spring-cleaning.my room screams out for attention!then later for some careful planning and yes, I need to say goodbye to old dull ugly ades room for a brand new yummy yummy attractive lovely room.yeah yeah yeah!
